Planning with confidence

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the journey begins — from the experiences AWA can shape to how enquiries, agent requests and travel requirements are handled.

Before you enquire

Start with what you know. AWA can help shape the rest.

Dates and routes do not need to be perfect. Useful context is more valuable than false certainty.

Plan a journey
What kinds of Tanzania journeys can AWA plan?
AWA can help shape private safari routes, Kilimanjaro journeys, Zanzibar stays and combinations that connect the wild, summit and coast. The route is built around the traveller’s timing, priorities and pace rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
Can travel agents plan client journeys through AWA?
Yes. Travel professionals use the same Plan a journey route and select that they are planning for a client or agency. This gives AWA the right context for agent-friendly quoting, communication and ground coordination from the first response.
How does support across Tanzania, the UK and Switzerland work?
AWA is family-led. Journey planning and ground coordination are handled in Tanzania, with family-based support available across the UK and Switzerland. This keeps local decisions close to the journey while giving travellers additional points of contact before they arrive.
How early should I start planning?
Earlier planning usually gives more choice around routes, guides and accommodation, especially in popular travel periods. If your dates are close or still uncertain, send what you know and AWA can explain what is realistic without treating an estimate as a commitment.
What happens after I send a journey request?
AWA receives your enquiry directly. The team can then review the route, timing, traveller needs and any agency context before replying with the most useful next step. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
Can AWA help with dietary, mobility or accessibility requirements?
Add every relevant requirement to the journey request as early as possible. AWA will assess each request against the proposed route, transport and accommodation and confirm what can be supported rather than making a blanket promise.
Who is responsible for visas, vaccinations and entry requirements?
Travellers remain responsible for checking current passport, visa, health and entry requirements with the relevant official authorities and qualified medical professionals. AWA can help identify planning questions, but cannot replace official immigration or medical advice.
When is a journey considered booked?
A journey is only confirmed after the itinerary, inclusions, price, payment schedule and applicable booking terms have been supplied in writing and accepted. A website enquiry or prepared email is not a final booking contract.
